Conservation Science Powered by Microsoft’s Planetary Computer
Overview
Microsoft’s Planetary Computer is making vast amounts of near real-time spatial data available to the scientific community, and providing tools for deep, conservation-relevant analyses. CSP’s Analytics Lab leveraged these data and tools to better visualize a few of our ecosystem monitoring projects, to help make the findings more intuitive and accessible. For example, an initial set of dynamic mapping applications reflects collaborations with multiple partners to assess wildlife habitat connectivity on working landscapes and the anthropogenic impacts to terrestrial landscapes, each across the conterminous U.S.
